Bridge the gAPP is free, safe and completely anonymous.

Mental health is essential to overall health and wellness. When we have good mental health and wellness we are able to handle lifes stressors, build strong relationships, and lead productive and fulfilling lives. Our mental health and wellness allows us to realize our potential. Mental health and wellness is not about avoiding problems or having the perfect life; rather, it is about living well and feeling capable despite life’s challenges.

There are many things we can do to boost our mood, build resilience, and get more enjoyment out of life, and Bridge the gAPP would like to help you!

Use Bridge the gAPP to instantly access content on a variety of mental health and addictions topics which provide advice, inspiration, assurance, or direction for finding additional supports when you need it the most.

Bridge the gAPP is an initiative made possible by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. It was developed in consultation with many community partners who have enriched the service with their contributions. There is also a youth version of Bridge the gAPP for individuals 18 years and under.


Features

Easy-to-read mental health topics that are important to adults, along with animated videos, interactive questions, and video links. Topics include:

(1) Introduction to Mental Health and Wellness;
(2) Mental Illness;
(3) Anxiety;
(4) Depression;
(5) Problematic Substance Use and Addictions;
(6) Alcohol;
(7) Tobacco;
(8) Family and Caregiving;
(9) Suicide Prevention;
(10) Stress Management;
(11) Self-esteem and Identity; and
(12) Relationships.

Mood Meter: allows you to rate your emotions such as stress and receive tips from your peers on how to cope.

Find Support: allows you to connect to local services and supports related to mental health and addictions. You can use the GPS locator to suggest services in your area automatically or search manually through the directory.

Get Inspired: is a collection of suggested tools and techniques to support your wellness plan. Choose from mindfulness tips, visualizations, book/movie suggestions and video and music clips all aimed at helping inspire and motivate you on your personal journey of recovery and wellness.

Wall of Hope: provides the space for you to post inspirational messages and quotes. Check out entries from others and/or submit your own entry.
